Welcome to the board flight OO7 to Kingston, Jamaica !

​

 It is the mutual love of Jamaican 70's REGGAE ROOTS and ROCKSTEADY and its off-beat "skank" that drives the members of oo7 Airlines and led them to meet in South Ardèche, their adopted country, to play this sun-drenched swaying music.

 

oo7 Airlines began by "getting their feet wet" by taking up standards from Jamaican artists that they particularly like and then quickly giving free rein to their creative imagination by developing numerous compositions.

The themes addressed by the songs are sometimes protesting and rebellious (racism, authoritarian excesses of the government...) call for unity and sharing, or are lighter around the feeling of love, but all have a common goal: to make you dance until the end of the night in a friendly and warm atmosphere;

 

The group has performed numerous times in Ardèche and elsewhere since its creation in 2019, including a visit to the “SALLE LE BOURNOT” in February 2020 in Aubenas, which then welcomed them for a residency and the filming of the music video "You're the one", available on YOUTUBE since February 2021. OO7 Airlines also performed on stage at the LOUPOULO FESTIVAL #6 (2022), in Rosières as the opening act for BIGA*RANX, RAKOON, SMOKEY JOE & THE KID , VANUPIÉ and R-DÙG. The 2023 summer tour was also rich in meetings and good vibes

 

! The group recorded two albums at “Barbeuk Studio” with Franck “CHOKO” Rivoire on technique and mixing: the EP “FIRST FLIGHT” of 7 tracks (2020), featuring “LES OGRESSES” by Ogres de Barback (Mathilde and Alice Burguière) and an LP of 15 compositions “TAKEOFF” (2022) (Featuring Joseph Cotton) which will be released in January 2024.

 

Furthermore, the group recorded 3 singles with Jamaican deejay "JOSPEH COTTON" (aka Jah Walton), - mixed by "SCIENTIST" (aka Hopeton Overton Brown) and "ROOTS ATTACK" (aka Jérémie "JEH JEH" Clergue).

 

OO7 Airlines continues to compose and record and will be very happy to see you on stage !
